Notice of Intent to Sole Source Rental of Pumping Station

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District (SPK), Sacramento, CA 95814 intends to award a FirmFixed-Price Sole Source Contract to Rain for Rent/Western Oilfields Supply Company, 4001 State Road, Bakersfield, CA 93308-4539 for rental of a Pumping Station for use at the Isabella Auxiliary Dam in Lake Isabella, California. This items to be rented include:

High-head pump or pumps capable of pumping 435 gallons per minute on a continuous basis without human intervention All necessary tanks, hoses, valves, adapters, and other accessories required to operate temporary pumping station at auxiliary dam Requirements for operation include:

System must collect from sump, store in tank, and pump from tank automatically Vendor must mobilize to support in case of any equipment failure within 24 hours of notification Vendor must be able to mobilize equipment within one day and install equipment within one additional day This will be awarded on a sole source basis under the authority of 10 U.S.C.2304(d)(1)(B), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii)(A) -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.

The applicable North American Industry Classification (NAICS) is 333914 – Measuring, Dispensing, and Other Pumping Equipment Manufacturing. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. No solicitation package is available and telephone inquiries will not be honored.

This is a notice of intent to award a sole source action; however, all interested persons that identify to the Contracting Officer their intent and capabilities to satisfy the Government’s requirement received by no later than April 5, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. PDT will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
