GENERAL SCOPE OF POTENTIAL REQUIREMENT

This requirement involves the design, construction, installation, incidental work, and certification of a ship lift at Kuwait Naval Base (KNB). The ship lift shall coordinate with the existing rail transfer yard to provide a means to safely transport vessels from the water to locations throughout the drydock areas. The scope of the project includes the design and installation of a new ship lift (including but not limited to the structure, hoists, and capstans), structural improvements to the ship lift existing piers and piles and associated utility systems upgrades.  The ship lift must seamlessly integrate with the existing transfer system.

Additional Information:

  2. The place of performance is Kuwait Naval Base, Kuwait.  The ability to perform work in Kuwait and obtain base access is required.
  3. The existing system at KNB was originally built by Pearlson Shiplift Corporation (PSC).
