Combined Sources Sought / Request for Information Notice: Puget Sound Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF) is conducting market research to determine industry capability and interest in providing a double girder configuration, radio remote operated overhead electric traveling (OET) training trolley that will be used soley for crane maintenance and inspection training for PSNS & IMF personnel. Complete requirements can be found in the attached notional Statement of Work (SOW).

Notional Period of Performance (POP): Date of Award + 45 Weeks *This notional POP is provided for planning purposes only. The Government is not obligated to pursue this schedule or a future solicitation because of this Sources Sought. Based on the responses to this sources sought, this requirement may be set-aside for small business (in full or in part) or procured through full and open competition (unrestricted), the Government intent at this time is for a single award.

All small business set-aside categories will be considered. Telephonic inquiries will not be accepted or acknowledged, the Government will not be providing evaluations or comments to companies providing sources sought responses but the responses will be used to inform the Government as to the best means of procuring this requirement.

Eligibility: The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 333923, Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist, and Monorail System Manufacturing, with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. The Product Service Code (PSC) is 6910, Training Aids.

Instructions to Submit Interest: If you are interested and are capable of providing the required services, please submit your response via email with the subject "5021-0170 Traveling Training Trolley Response" no later than the closing date and time of this notice to the following POCs: David Willey, Contract Specialist, david.r.willey.civ@us.navy.mil Brian Fergus, Contracting Officer, james.b.fergus2.civ@us.navy.mil The response to the sources sought/RFI shall be in either Microsoft Word or Portable Document Format (PDF).

Notice Regarding Sources Sought: This sources sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes - it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFP in the future.This sources sought does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. Further, the Navy is not seeking proposals at this time, nor accepting unsolicited proposals.

Responders are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this source sought; all costs associated with responding to this source sought will be solely at the interested party's expense. Not responding to this sources sought does not preclude participation in any future RFP, if any is issued. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized on the SAM website (sam.gov).

It is the responsibility of the potential offerors to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this requirement. Information provided shall be treated as Business Sensitive or Confidential to the responder, exempt from public release under the Freedom of Information Act. PSNS&IMF may request further information regarding the capabilities of respondents to meet the requirements set forth in the announcement. This sources sought announcement is released in accordance with FAR 15.201.

Information provided in response to this sources sought announcement will not be considered an offer by the responding contractor and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract.
