Purchase/Installation of Kardex Vertical Lift Unit (VLU) System (Kardex Shuttle 500)

THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Midstate’s Procurement Branch requires the purchase and installation of one (1) automated brand-name Kardex Vertical Lift Unit (VLU) System for the IRS National Distribution Center (NDC). The VLU must include order picking/putaway hardware and licensing compatible with existing Kardex Power Pick System (Kardex Shuttle 500). This requirement is set-aside for small businesses.

This requirement is mission critical for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) National Distribution Center (NDC) operations and necessary to replace an end-of-life storage systems due to frequent equipment failures and repair parts obsolescence leading to excessive production downtimes and to maintain the required levels of service for Taxpayer Service’s Media & Publications Distribution services program. The VLU must meet existing system hardware, software, and licensing requirements.

334112, Computer Storage Device Manufacturing. The small business size standard is 1250 employees. Responses shall include, at a minimum, the following information:
