Mickey Leland Low Rise Elevator Modernization

The General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service (PBS), Region 7 (7PQC), has a construction project for the modernization of 4 existing low-rise elevators at the Mickey Leland Federal Building; 1919 Smith St., Houston, TX, 77002 (TX0298ZZ). The modernization of these vertical transportation systems is necessary to comply with existing elevator codes, and the associated American with Disabilities Act (ADA) and life safety requirements.

The proposed action is a Sole Source procurement for the elevator modernization at the Mickey Leland Federal Building. Contract is awarded to Elevator Repair Services, Inc. (ERS), a Women-Owned Small Business. See attached JOTFOC. Additionally, a brand name justification for the purchase of communication device for this same project. The MAD MosaicONE VMS is the only system cleared for trial use in GSA facilities and the GSA network. See attached brand name justification.
