Page 2 of 2 This is a Intent to Sole Source published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.101(a)(1) requiring the dissemination of information regarding proposed contract actions. This Notice is for a proposed award of a sole source firm fixed price contract to the following contractor in support of the purchase of Zebra Bar-code Scanners for our Censitrac Sterile Processing's Instrument Tracking Systems. The location of the installation will be at our listed VISN 23 locations.

Censis Technologies, Inc. 4031 Aspen Grove Drive STE 350 Franklin, Tennessee 37067 This is done under authority of 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1: Only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is not a request for competitive quotes. Market research revealed that only Censis Technologies can provide the Zebra scanners that are compatible with Censitrac.

A sole source letter from the original equipment manufacturer, Zebra Technologies, states that Censis Technologies is the sole vendor for the Zebra DS3678-DP2F403VTNA Wireless scanner, STB3678-C141E8NA cradle, and DS3608-DP20373VTNA wired scanner. These scanner models are the only Zebra rugged handheld DPM devices certified by Censis for use with Censitrac software.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this service is 339112 - Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing (PSC) is 6515: Medical and surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.

While this synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, interested vendors may identify their interest and capability to satisfy the requirement, including documentation from the proprietary rights holder Zebra Technologies that such contractor could provide this service as an authorized reseller, authorized dealer or third party.
