Affiniti Ultrasound Upgrade - Iowa City Intent to Sole Source

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE - 36C26324Q0586 Department of Veterans Affairs intends to issue a Firm-Fixed Price contract to a single source, Alliant Healthcare Products to upgrade the existing VA VISN 23 Cardiac Transducer for Philips Affiniti 70 portable ultrasound machine. This procurement is authorized under FAR 13.106-1.

The NAICS code is 339112. The PSC code is 6525. The parts required for the upgrade must be from the OEM as no other manufacturer s part are compatible with the Philips Affiniti 70 portable ultrasound machine. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement along with the information requested below, which shall be considered by the Government. The Government will consider responses received by the closing date of this notice.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a full and open competitive procurement or a small business set aside competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information received in response to this announcement. If the Government decides to compete this requirement, a synopsis shall be issued utilizing the combined synopsis/solicitation procedure identified in FAR 12.603.

A determination not to compete this requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
