THIS IS NOTICE OF INTENT TO SINGLE SOURCE FOR A SERVER MIGRATION SUPPORT AND SOFTWARE UPDATES FOR THE SIEMENS SYNGO.VIA SERVERS UTILIZED IN RADIOLOGY AND NUCLEAR MEDICINE FOR THE SAN DIEGO VA HEALTHCARE SYSTEM: This is not a request for competitive proposals.

Awarding this contract directly to Siemens Medical Solutions USA the sole provider of software maintenance and support for its proprietary software products, including Syngo.via ensures the VA maintains continuity of service and support for these critical systems, leverages Siemens technical expertise and exclusive access to necessary proprietary components, and aligns with government security and operational standards.

This single source strategy minimizes service disruption, supports compliance, and streamlines contract and system management for both ongoing maintenance and future software updates The authority for applying this statute implemented for restricting competition on this procurement is FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) per the requirements of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(i). The intent is to provide the server migration support and applicable software updates for the Siemens Syngo.via servers mentioned above on a single source basis.
