Sterilization Svc - Intent to Sole Source

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE: The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office 22 intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed-price, contract to Sterile Processing Express (SPDX) for Instrument Sterilization and Logistic Services to the Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Hospital with Phoenix Veterans Healthcare System, Carl T. Hayden Medical Center located at 650 East Indian School Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012. This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit from only one source under the authority of FAR 8.405.6 Only One Source.

Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 561910 Product sterilization and packaging services with a small business size standard of $19.5 million. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS The Department of Veterans Affairs, Phoenix VA Medical Center intends to award a firm fixed price, single source purchase order to SPDX.

The purpose of the order is to obtain service agreement to provide instrument sterilization and logistic service. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
