Lab Testing for VANCHCS

Sources Sought Synopsis The purpose of this Sources Sought Synopsis is to assist in our decision-making process for a service procurement. This is not a solicitation, nor a request for quotes or proposals. Responses to this sources sought synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. The Government is not obligated to nor will it pay for or reimburse any costs associated with responding to this sources sought synopsis request.

This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation or ultimately award of a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21, is conducting market research to identify potential vendors that can provide the general requirements below.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment and services to perform laboratory services to include pickup and transport of specimens to its laboratory; pre-analytic processing as defined in its laboratory user s manual; analysis, reporting of analytic results, and consultation regarding selection, collection, transportation and result interpretation for the VA Northern California Health Care System as further described in the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Routine tests shall be reported within 24 hours and STAT tests shall be reported within 2 hours or less of specimen testing.

Place of Performance: Contractor s laboratory.

Period of Performance: The intended period of performance will be for 5 years, which may approximately begin around August 1, 2024.
