Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price service contract with a small business vendor SIMX, Inc. The procurement is for SIMX virtual reality healthcare training on SIMX platform. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 611710. SIMX has the proprietary rights for this particular service and software platform.

This procurement is limited to one source in accordance with FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(2) Soliciting from a Single Source, as no other services would satisfy the Agency s requirement. The anticipated award date: April 30, 2025. This requirement is for: Department of Veterans Affairs Portland VA Medical Center 3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Rd Portland, OR 97239 This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining the marketplace for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted.
