Intent to Sole Source: Getinge Servo Ventilator Training

The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Puget Sound Health Care System, Seattle, Washington intends to award a sole source commercial purchase order to Getinge USA Sales, LLC, 1 Geoffrey Way, Wayne, NJ 07470. This proposed action is for the Technical Service Training on Getinge Respiratory Ventilators to certify Biomedical Technician at the VA Puget Sound Health Care System to service to include repairs and all required periodic maintenance on all Getinge respiratory ventilators.

This will be a single year, firm-fixed price contract. Period of Performance will be 10/01/2024 – 09/30/2025 The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C.

253(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.303-2 and FAR 13. This is not a request for competitive quotes and no solicitation will be issued; however any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contract Specialist within 5 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses are due by 08/19/2024 12:00pm Pacific Time.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13. This notice document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2024-05 dated 05/22/2024.
