Notice of Intent to Sole Source Ortho-Clinical 6 month bridge contract

Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source, firm-fixed service contract with a large business manufacturer Ortho-Clinical Diagnostics. This procurement is for a 6 month bridge contract for reagents and its related services for studies and tests for a new analyzer. Agency and lab policies require an overlap studies of an old and new analyzer for up to 6 months.

The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 325413. This procurement is limited to one source in accordance with FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(i)(B) as no other services can satisfy the agency policy requirements. The anticipated award date is March 26, 2024. This requirement is for: Department of Veterans Affairs Portland VA Medical Center 3710 SW US Veterans Hospital Rd Portland, OR 97239 This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. Any responses received will only be considered for the purposes of determining the marketplace for future procurements. The Government will not pay for information submitted. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
