R426 - Notice of Intent to Sole Source, City of Portland Emergency Radio Communication Services

Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to solicit and award a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed-Price service contract with the City of Portland. The procurement is for the VA's 800 MHz Police Radio Emergency Communication Services. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 922120, Police Protection.

This procurement is limited to one source in accordance with FAR Part 13.5, simplified procedures for certain commercial items as the City of Portland coordinates this service for this area in the State of Oregon (Washington, Multnomah, Clackamas, Marion) and Clark County, Washington. The City of Portland owns and operates the proprietary public safety system for Portland/Multnomah County and surrounding counties.
