THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Portland VA Medical Center intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) and FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one source to:
Olympus America, Inc. 3500 Corporate PKWY Center Valley, PA, 18034 The objective of this sole source award is to initiate a new lease for GI endoscopy equipment video gastroscope, colonoscope various fiber scopes, 4K UHD units and processors used for several Surgical Specialties, bonchoscopes, ultrasonic probes, ureteroscopes, and laser systems, light sources, video processor, ultrasound processor, etc. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 334510; the large business size standard is 1250 Employees.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency. All information received by 6AM PST on January 31, 2024 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Gregory Watson, Contract Specialist at Gregory.watson2@va.gov. The email subject line shall state, Intent to Sole Source Portland Olympus GI Scope lease .
The Government will not pay for information submitted. This will be the only notice of the Government's intent to solicit, negotiate, and award to one source to satisfy this requirement.
