Answers to Vendor Questions for RFQ 36C25924Q0385 Question 1: May I ask if you are wanting the capital analyzer equipment and all the reagents to run these tests at the individual Oklahoma VA s? Or are you just wanting the reagents and a lab to outsource/ send the tests to?
Answer: The Government requires rental of equipment, all required reagents, supplies, and peripherals needed to run inhouse point of care molecular testing by Government employees at each of the listed locations in the Request for Quote.
Question 2: The Solicitation s general requirement is for a Cost Per Test (CPT) or a Reagent Rental Agreement (RRA). Will the Government consider offers or alternative offers for an Instrument Rental Agreement that would require a flat monthly fee for the equipment and would allow the Government to purchase non-surcharged reagents on an as-needed basis?
Answer: Either Cost Per Test or Reagent Rental Agreement is the pricing method required for this solicitation and shall be used in Vendor proposals.
Question 3: Could the LIS connectivity be clarified, direct connect through Cerner would satisfy all connectivity requirement?
Per 10F Answer: Per Section 5.a. of the Statement of work, results must interface through our UNIPOC data management system middleware therefore direct connect through Cerner is deemed unacceptable.
Question 4: Can you please clarify if the OKC Emergency Room site will need one analyzer for 2 locations or one analyzer with double capacity?
Answer: The OKC Emergency Room location will require two separate analyzers.
Question 5:
Under Definitions, A.a: OKC VAMC's current UNIPOC point of care management system supports connection to Roche instruments. Do you intend to continue with that connection?
Answer: The government intends to continue with using UNIPOC as the middleware for interfacing Point of Care patient test results into the hospital s laboratory information system, VISTA/CPRS.
Question 6: Is the government's expectation that 15 new instruments will be provided as a result of this acquisition?
Answer: Yes, the government requires 15 new instruments included in submitted proposals.
