PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE CAREFULLY AS IT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY NOTICE THAT WILL BE PUBLISHED. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Veterans Health Administration (VHA) intends to award a sole source contract to Roche Diagnostics Corporation to provide immunohistology instruments, chemicals and special stain reagents for Roche Ventana stainers.

This procurement is being conducted under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Parts 12 and 13. The Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) has a requirement for a contractor to provide immunohistology instruments, chemicals and special stain reagents for Roche Ventana stainers and Ventana Benchmark IHC/ISH slide staining systems currently in use by the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service of the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS) located at 4300 West 7th Street, Little Rock, AR.

72205. Based on market research it has been determined that Roche Diagnostics Corporation is the only vendor capable of providing all necessary supplies and services in accordance with original equipment manufacturer’s requirements. It is anticipated that any contract award for these items/services will include the clause at VAAR 852.212-71, Gray Market and Counterfeit Items.

Therefore, the awardee shall be an OEM, authorized dealer, authorized distributor, or authorized reseller for the proposed items/systems, verified by an authorization letter or other documents from the OEM. If responding to this announcement, please provide a copy of such documentation. This notice is being distributed solely through the U.S. General Services Administration's website at https://sam.gov.

Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 325413, In-Vitro Diagnostic Substance Manufacturing. The Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1.

Only emailed responses will be considered. Information received will be utilized solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination not to compete this proposed acquisition based upon responses to this notice is at the sole discretion of the Government.
