All information contained in this Request for Information (RFI) is preliminary as well as subject to amendment and is in no way binding on the Government.
Information submitted in response to this notice is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Government is requesting that restrictive or proprietary markings not be used in response to this notice. If a solicitation is released, it will be synopsized in the Federal Contract Opportunities website or GSA. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to monitor these sites for additional information pertaining to this RFI:

CBOC Cabinets and Stools 36C25624Q0852 2. Purpose: The purpose of this RFI is to identify potential sources which will aid in defining the procurement strategy (e.g., set-aside, sole source, unrestricted) for a solicitation the VA intends on issuing shortly for the following:

4. Opportunity/Market Pricing: The MEDVAMC is seeking information from potential vendors on their ability to provide the required service. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. Small Business Concerns are encouraged to provide responses to this RFI in order to assist the MEDVAMC in determining potential levels of competition and general market pricing available in the industry.
Therefore, vendors are requested to submit estimated market research pricing along with their responses to the above. The estimated pricing will be considered when determining the procurement strategy for the forthcoming solicitation. RFI responses are due by 10:00 (CST), Wednesday, August 23, 2024; size is limited to 8.5 x 11 inches, 12-point font, with 1-inch margins in Microsoft Word format via email to andrew.misfeldt@va.gov the subject line shall read: Lift Trucks Houston. NO SOLICITATION EXISTS AT THIS TIME.
There is no page limitation on subparagraphs 3(a) - 3(f). Please provide the information you deem relevant to respond to the specific inquiries of the RFI. Information provided will be used solely by MEDVAMC as Market Research and will not be released outside of the MEDVAMC Purchasing and Contract Team.

Statement of Work BACKGROUND: The Michael E. DeBakey is one of the nation s largest systems of VA hospitals and clinics within an area plagued by Natural Disasters. MEDVAMC is in the Houston area home to 100,000 plus Veterans in an area and CBOC s. PURPOSE: To enhance medical mobile capabilities for lifting and removing supplies and equipment from tractor-trailers, as well as for having the capability to deliver heavy pallets to our six floors. This equipment will be used during steady state and response to support the medical center to ensure optimal performance and safety.
REQUIREMENTS: The equipment should be of the latest model complying with the respective international quality standards. The equipment/system should be complete in all aspects of its operations as per the mentioned specifications. The equipment must comply with the Buy American Certification FAR 52.225-2. The Contractor shall provide 4 each Walkie Pallet Trucks with a maintenance-free battery. The Contractor shall produce and fully comply with the VA patient safety standards. Electric Pallet Jack, walk-behind, indoor, outdoor-improved surface, max load capacity 4,500lbs. The requirements are as follows:
Electric Pallet Lift: 27" Fork Spread 45" Fork Length Designed for 40" x 48" pallets Load Capacity: 4500lbs 7.9" Battery Compartment 4 x 6V 180AH Wet Cell Battery 120V, 30 Amp Onboard Charger Skid Bar Rubber Drive Tire Key Switch Hour Meter, Discharge Indicator, and Fault Display Battery Straps Drive Tow/Switch Safety Features That can meet all OSHA regulations. Other requirements:
Application: Dock Work, Loading / Unloading, Low / Mid-Level Order Picking, Lift Gate / Mobile Delivery, Transport DELIVERY - Upon completion the contractor will be required to deliver the pallet lift to MEDVAMC, Receiving Warehouse, 2002 Holcombe Boulevard, Houston TX, 77030. WARRANTY The contractor will provide the standard warranty on the unit as well as the power train. WRITTEN DOCUMENTATION The contractor will provide a comprehensive owner s manual.
