The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15 has a requirement to provide InVitro Diagnostic Substances, Reagents, Test Kits, and Test Sets services for immunochemistry supplies which are used to detect Herpes Simplex Virus antibodies in patient serum to the Pathology and Laboratory Department at the VA Medical Center, 915 North Grand Blvd, St. Louis, Missouri, 63106 and intends to negotiate a sole source contract with DiaSorin, Inc for the service and maintenance of the DiaSorin Liaison XL Equipment.

This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 8.405-6; Limited Source Justification Approval and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted.

However, any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification by email to the Contracting Specialist by 11:00 AM (CST) March 27, 2024. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, NCO 15 will proceed with the sole source negotiation with DiaSorin, Inc. All work to be closely coordinated with the VA Contracting Officer (CO) and Contracting Officer s Representative (COR).
