Notice of Intent to Sole Source Special Mode Transportation Bridge Contract

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 15, intends to award a sole source bridge contract to Assisted Transportation Services (UEI: W9YKGT73NFW5) for Special Mode Transportation Services. The required services are considered vital to the Government and must be continued without interruption. The Government anticipates difficulties during the transition from one contractor to another.

This is a firm-fixed priced bridge contract with a period of performance of six (6) months, 02/02/2024 08/02/2024. This bridge contract will allow the Government sufficient time to compete and award a new long-term contract. This purchase will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures, as authorized by and in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b).

The anticipated award date is 2 February 2024. The prices offered for this acquisition have been determined to be fair and reasonable after a comparison to historical pricing. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 485991 - Special Needs Transportation and the size standard is $19 million. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for quotes; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the Government for the new long-term requirement.
