550-24-235 Emergent Repair Water Main In Parking Lot M Leading to Building 22 VA Illiana Health Care System (VAIHCS) required immediate repair of Parking Lot M due to a 6 water main lateral break underneath the pavement. The washout from the broken line has caused collapsing and upheaval of asphalt pavement sections cutting off access to the Building 22 loading dock and making a portion of the parking lot unusable.

To reach the broken water line to repair it, an 8 Lx8 Wx 10 D trench had to be excavated in the parking lot. Presently we need emergent repair services to backfill/repave the excavation area and to repair the damaged pavement sections. Without these repairs, the Building 22 Engineering Warehouse s only loading dock cannot be accessed and thus preventing the movement of materials and equipment in and out of the building.

Pursuant to 38 U.S.C 8127(b), contracting officers may use other than competitive procedures to enter into a contract with a verified SDVOSB or VOSB for procurements under the simplified acquisition threshold.
