Olympus BX43 System Microscope

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO 12) Great Lakes Acquisition Center anticipates entering a single source procurement with Alliant Enterprises, LLC (Alliant Healthcare Products) for an Olympus BX43 System Microscope for William S. Middleton memorial Veterans Hospital, Madison, WI. This acquisition is conducted under 38 U.S. Code § 8127(b), as implemented by FAR 6.302-5 (Authorized or Required by Statute).

COs may use the non-competitive (sole source) procedures authorized in VAAR 819.7008(DEVIATION) for an amount less than the simplified acquisition threshold. Other entities may identify their interest and capability by responding to this requirement no later than 6/21/2024 at 12:00 p.m. CDT. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all interested entities submitting a response to this notice must do so no later than the period specified for consideration.

A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received because of the notice of intent will normally be considered for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available.
