Equine Assisted Therapy

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO 12) Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to award a sole source contract to MKE URBAN STABLES, Milwaukee, WI, for Equine Assisted Therapy, for the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center (ZVAMC), Milwaukee, WI, in accordance with FAR 13. Services shall be in accordance with the terms, conditions, provisions, and schedule of the contract, and comply with the VHA accessibility requirement.

The accessibility requirement designates Equine Assisted Therapy be located within 4 miles of ZVAMC. Services shall be Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy to ZVAMC Veterans receiving Behavioral Health Services. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of FAR 13. This will be a firm fixed price contract for Equine Facilitated Psychotherapy to ZVAMC Veterans receiving Behavioral Health Services. The NAICS Code is 624190 Other Individual and Family Services.

This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be honored.

However, if a firm believes it can meet the Equine Assisted Therapy requirements it must submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, about its products and services, as well as references from other customers who are using these products and services to the Contracting Officer by 10:00 AM (CST) February 8, 2024. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirements.

Responses received will be evaluated however; a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Contracting Officer will proceed with the sole source award to MKE URBAN STABLES.
