Street Iron Mountain, MI 49801-4760 The action is a pre-solicitation notice of a forthcoming, Invitation for Bid construction solicitation for Project 585-21-111 Upgrade Nurse Call System. THIS ACTION IS A 100% SERVICE-DISABLED, VETERAN-OWNED SMALL-BUSINESS SET-ASIDE.

This project involves the renovation of the nurse call system throughout the facility which includes new nurse call devices, master console and duty stations, pillow switches, pull stations, dome lights, back boxes, cabling and conduit, and electrical items as outlined in the contract specifications and as will be shown on the contract drawings. The work involves demolition of the existing nurse call system, architectural, data, and electrical.

New work involves the furnishing and installation of the new architectural, data, electrical, and security items located in all areas in Building 1 as will be detailed in the solicitation specifications and drawings. The contractor shall complete all work including submittals, reviews, quality assurance, and closeout no later than 300 calendar-days from the Notice to Proceed (NTP).

The contract will include Phase 0 (120 calendar days) for submittals, material orders, lead time and deliveries and Phase 1 (180 calendar days) for construction and closeout . Contractor must plan accordingly to maintain the contractual period of performance. This schedule includes submittals, submittal reviews, material lead-time, installation, testing and balancing, punchlist inspections/ corrective action, training and standard closeout.

This project is classified under NAICS Code: 238210 Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors with a small-business size limit of $19.0 Million. The magnitude of construction for this work is between $1,000,000 and $2,000,000.

In accordance with FAR 19.301-1, at the time the offer is submitted and prior to award of any contract, the offeror must represent to the contracting officer that it is a Small Business concern under the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to the acquisition.

Additionally, all eligible firms must be registered and current in the System for Award Management (SAM) database in order to be evaluated and eligible for contract award and verified as a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business. If the firm is not registered in SAM, you may register online at https://www.sam.gov.

The solicitation (including any/all specifications and drawings) will be posted to SAM Contracting Opportunities (SAM.gov | Contract Opportunities) on, or about, November 30, 2023. A pre-bid conference/site walk-through shall be conducted for this project after the solicitation has been posted. The time and date of the site visit will be included in the solicitation details.
