The Cincinnati VA Medical Center (VAMC) Research & Development Department operates a research laboratory that relies on a range of certified and calibrated scientific equipment to support ongoing research activities in service of Veterans. This equipment includes Biosafety Cabinets (BSCs), fume hoods, centrifuges, pipettes, and a Nikon AXR Confocal Microscope. To maintain a safe research environment and comply with applicable regulatory standards, this equipment must be certified, calibrated, decontaminated, and maintained on a recurring basis by qualified technicians.
