STATEMENT OF WORK OKLAHOMA CITY VA HEALTH CARE SYSTEM Brand Name or Equal Background The Oklahoma City VA Health Care System (OKC VAHCS) must purchase request 2 portable full body lifts for the new N Portland Clinic (Women’s Health). For continuity of care throughout the facility, we request Brand Name or Equal to Arjo Maxi Move lifts. This is the lift used exclusively in OKC VAHCS. Objectives/Scope The N Portland Clinic currently has no portable lifts for use in the clinical areas. We are a no lift facility.

Manual lifting of these patients is in direct violation of OKC VA MCP 118-20 “Safe Patient Handling and Mobility Program.” This MCP states that no more than 35 pounds should be lifted by employees while doing patient care activities.
