Intent to Sole Source FAP Mitochondria Imaging Assays Service

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE RPO-East R&D, Department of Veterans Affairs intends to sole source a contract for FAP mitochondria imaging/quantification/function assays for the following medical center: San Francisco, CA Veterans Affairs Health Care System. The objective of this sole source requirement is for a firm fixed price contract with Buck Institute for Research on Aging.

This sole source intent is in accordance with FAR 13, Simplified Acquisition, procedures and in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), Soliciting from a single source. The Statement of Work is attached. The estimated period of performance is 5/1/2024-4/30/2025 with three one-year options. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541380 and the size standard is $19 million. No solicitation package will be issued.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.

Interested vendors that can meet this requirement, should identify their interest and capability, and respond to this notice by 10:00pm Eastern Standard Time on 26 February 2024. Interested vendors must send a capability statement, no more than one page in length; to include Company Name, UEI Number, Socioeconomic Category, brief description of your business entities capability to provide these services. All information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.

Responses must be sent via email to the Contracting Officer renee.kale@va.gov. Facsimile or telephonic responses will not be accepted. Simply responding as an interested party does not constitute your company as a source. Offeror must provide the above requested information. A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.

Information received will normally be considered solely for determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. No questions will be answered in response to the Statement of Work.
