Department Of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Network Contracting Office 9 Notice Of Intent To Sole Source / Sources Sought Notice On behalf of the VISN 9, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 9 intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to bioMérieux, Inc. for procurement of the following:

The anticipated statutory authority permitting Justification and Approval in accordance with FAR 13.501(a). Only one awardee can provide reagents, consumables, and government owned equipment warranty with service for the bioMerieux VITEK 2, BACT/ALERT VIRTUO, VITEK MS, and Myla instruments. Place of performance is the James H Quillen VAMC, Mountain Home, TN, 37684. This acquisition is anticipated to take place on or about June 1, 2024. The period of performance will be for 5 years.

The intended procurement will be classified under North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) 325413 with a small business size standard of 1,250 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for offers.

However, all responsible sources may submit a capabilities statement that proves by the preponderance of the evidence that another contractor can provide a service contract on VISN Web Services for VISN 9. All capability statements received by the closing date of this synopsis will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.

Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Capability statements shall be submitted by email only as a MS Word or Adobe PDF attachment to Robert Pitre at robert.pitre@va.gov. Capability statements are due no later than 10:00 AM CT on May 21, 2024. No phone calls will be accepted.
