Notice of Intent to Sole Source Subject: Intent to Sole Source to Veteran Healthcare Supply Solutions James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital intends to award a sole source contract to Veteran Healthcare Supply Solutions. The primary reason for this decision is that Veteran Healthcare Supply Solutions is uniquely qualified to provide FDA-approved, brand-specific Biocartis PCR-based instrumentation and reagents necessary for critical genetic testing for BRAF Mutation, EGFR Mutation, and Microsatellite Instability (MSI).

These tests are essential for the diagnosis and treatment planning of various medical conditions, particularly in the field of oncology. Veteran Healthcare Supply Solutions will provide FDA-approved, brand-specific, fully automated Biocartis PCR-based instrumentation and reagents necessary for performing BRAF Mutation, EGFR Mutation, and Microsatellite Instability (MSI) testing using contractor-owned instrumentation.

7. Justification for Sole Source: The Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Biocartis has designated the VHSS as their sole authorized distributor. Biocartis will not provide support or honor warranty if the items are purchased from any unauthorized entity. This notice of intent to sole source is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any interested vendors who believe they can meet the specified requirements may submit detailed capability statements. All submissions must clearly demonstrate their ability to provide the required services and products. Responses received will be reviewed and considered prior to finalizing the sole source award decision.
