36C248-25-Q-0247 Questions-answers Requirement-Re-pad Service Seclusion Room- VAMC West Palm Beach 1-14-25 Question- Good morning, Sir. I was reaching out for the full specifications of the Notice ID 36C24825Q0247. Can we please have the details of the seclusion room including size and diameter of room and all pertinent information if possible. Thank you. The RFP Scope of Work states that the walls and floor are to be covered with safety padding.
Yet there are statements that a portion of the safety padding must be removed to accommodate a bolt-down seclusion bed. This statement indicates that the floor currently has safety padding. Are we to provide new safety padding for the floor or modify some existing floor safety padding and tie the wall padding to an existing floor padding? Can you also confirm if we are to replace the full room of padding shall it already be installed in this room?
Answer- Contractor will need to replace the existing padding with new padding. Only section that was removed for bed will need to be replaced. The company installing the bed will need enough room to get to the bolts and bed out. Areas that have wear can be sanded and painted without replacing the floor or walls. You will be responsible for disposing of the existing bed and installing new padding around the area that was removed.
Contractor will need to follow all icra and pcra requirements and provide me with OSHA 10 and 30 certs before work can begin. Question- We will need the room size Length x Width x Height for the material take-off.  Answer- Measurements are attached. Question- Is the bed at least 1 -0 away from any adjacent wall to allow for a proper installation? Answer- Yes, bed is 30 ½ in from wall. Attached is measurements. Please see the attached pictures of the room.
