GENERAL: The Research Service department located at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital, situated at 8900 Grand Oaks Circle, Tampa, FL 33637, has identified a need for the procurement of the Vicon Valkere 8 system, which is an Optical Motion Capture Camera system.

BACKGROUND: The Research Service has been utilizing an older version of this product, which was procured back in 2009. However, the manufacturer has since updated and enhanced the product, rendering the previous versions obsolete and no longer supported.

SCOPE: This is a name brand only requirement. The Vicon Valkere 8 System is designed to deliver instrumented gait analysis, offering both kinematic and kinetic data during tasks related to motion. Vicon is renowned for creating top-tier solutions for optical and inertial tracking, particularly in the domains of biomechanics, gait, and sports science.
