Fayetteville VAMC Intent to Sole Source for Carl Zeiss Meditec Microscope Systems Service Plan

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, intends to negotiate a sole source contract with PROAIM Americas, LLC . for a Carl Zeiss Meditec Microscope Systems maintenance service agreement in support of the Fayetteville VA Medical Center, Fayetteville, North Carolina. The Carl Zeiss Meditec Microscope Systems is proprietary OEM equipment and services to the manufacturer (Carl Zeiss).

The manufacturer has provided a sole source letter that specifies PROAIM Americas, LLC is their only authorized service provider for their proprietary equipment. Period of performance will be for the period 28 October 2024 through 27 October 2025 plus 3 Option Years. Justification for this sole source procurement is in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(2) soliciting from a single source. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes.

No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However, any business that believes it can meet these requirements and possesses relevant past experience and expertise may give written notice. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the above requirement.

Responses will be considered by the Government, however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed acquisition based upon responses of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
