Lumena Echo Blood Bank System Rental

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton VA 23667, intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price contract base plus four (4) option years for the Salem VAMC laboratory to Immucor Inc. (large business) for the Echo Lumena Blood Bank System Rental. This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available.

Market research has determined that these items are specialized and are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of items will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of October 1, 2024, to Immucor Inc. located at 3130 Gateway Drive, Norcross, Georgia 30071-1189. This is a Brand-Name Only requirement for the Salem VAMC laboratory.

Immucor Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer of the Echo Lumena Blood Bank System. Immucor Inc. does not have any authorized distributors to provide the requirement.
