Replace Bldg. 6-7 Fire Escapes

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, Hampton VA 23667, intends to negotiate a sole source Firm-Fixed Price Contract for the replacement of Fire Escapes for Buildings 6 & 7 at the Asheville VAMC with Chamber MTN Construction, Inc. executed under the authority of U.S. Code § 8127(c) as implemented under VAAR 819.7008 Sole Source Awards to a Certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business.

This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of 25 Sep 2024 to Chamber MTN Construction, Inc., 273 Jilly Drive, Clyde, NC 28712, Cage Code 68HF5. 38 U.S. Code § 8127(c) provides Contracting Officers with the authority to execute Sole Source Awards to Certified SDVOSB s. All eligibility requirements of VAAR 819.7003 have been fulfilled.

Chamber Mountain Construction, Inc. is a certified SDVOSB Company that has been determined to be a responsible contractor with a favorable past performance with qualified personnel to successfully complete this small project. This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals.

If a firm believes it can meet the Government's requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the Contracting Officer by no later than 25 Sep 2024 9:00 AM EDT by contacting Keith Hunter via e-mail at Keith.hunter@va.gov. Those interested firms must indicate whether they are large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a) or woman owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned.

Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. The Government will not pay for any information submitted because of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.
