Page 3 of 3 NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, intends to award a firm-fixed-price sole-source contract to General Electric for supplies to be delivered to the Richmond Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC) in Richmond, Virginia. This is a one-time buy. NAICS code for this procurement is 334517 Irradiation Apparatus Manufacturing with a size standard of 1,200 employees.

This is an urgent and compelling requirement IAW FAR 8.405-6. Brand name only description of supplies: 02 - S7003MZ - STILLE, 530-1703, US 100V, IMAGIQ 2 VASCULAR TABLE 02 - S7003NA - STILLE, 535-1790, ACCESSORY PACKAGE 02 - S7003PJ - STILLE, 535-1766, PAN HANDLES CONTROL MODULE, FOR IMAGIQ2 THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no Solicitation will be issued.

The justification for this noncompetitive solicitation is due to General Electric being the sole company capable of providing the brand name item under an established VA High Tech Medical Equipment contract. Market research has determined that these supplies are highly specialized and only available from a single source.

The Government intends to award the contract with an effective date of 08 Aug 2024 to GE Healthcare OEC 2984 Collections Center Drive Chicago, IL 60693. However, interested parties may identify their skill and ability by sending capability statements about this requirement to the contracting Officer within three (3) calendar days of this publication by contacting Gordon Burns via e-mail gordon.burns@va.gov.
