First Receiver Decontamination Program

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6, Durham Medical Center (VAMC) intends to enter into a sole source procurement with RRS Patient Decontamination LLC, 1997 White Pine Dr Middleton, ID 83644. NAICS 923120 Administration of Public Health Programs.

The proposed contract action is to Provide a full response team of a maximum of 30 technicians with FRDP operations level certification to respond to all Durham VAMC patient decontamination needs and hazardous materials spill incidents utilizing Durham VAMC furnished equipment and supplies located at 508 Fulton Street Durham, NC. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501. This notice of intent is not a request for quotation.

Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the government. The delivery of gray market items to the VA in the fulfillment of an order/award constitutes a breach of contract. Accordingly, the VA reserves the right to enforce any of its contractual remedies. This includes:

termination of the contract or, solely at the VA s election, allowing the Vendor to replace, at no cost to the Government, any remanufactured or gray market item(s)delivered to a VA medical facility upon discovery of such items. No solicitation will be made available. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the government not to complete this proposed contract based upon responses to the notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
