Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 6, intends to negotiate a limited source contract under FAR (FAR 8.405-6(a)(1)(B)), Only One Responsible Source for the supplies listed below. The vendor will be Biomerieux Inc., 100 Rodolphe St, Durham, NC 27712. This is not a request for competitive offers.

Market research has determined that these services are highly specialized are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award a Bridge contract to Biomerieux Inc, Inc., 100 Rodolphe St, Durham, NC 27712. This is a Sole Source requirement to satisfy the minimum requirements for Richmond VAMC.

The Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center laboratory is seeking a bridge contract to continue current Cost per Test services for fully automated blood culture instrument cost-per-test with Biomerieux Inc, Inc for a period of performance of April 1, 2024 September 30, 2024. The bridge will apply to instrumentation currently installed in the following facility listed below:

If a firm believes it can meet the Government's requirement, it may identify their interest and capability to the Contracting Officer, LaToya Glover via e-mail at LaToya.Glover2@va.gov by Friday, March 15, 2024, 10:00AM (EST). Telephone inquiries will not be accepted.

Those interested firms must indicate whether they are large, small, small-disadvantaged, 8(a) or woman owned business and whether they are U.S. or foreign owned. Respondents who submit proprietary data shall clearly mark the data with appropriate markings. The Government will not pay for any information submitted as a result of this synopsis. This synopsis shall not be construed as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any products or services.
