The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 6 on behalf of Richmond VAMC is conducting Market Research through this sources sought notice to help determine the availability of qualified Businesses, capable of providing The Nustep T5XRW Cross trainer brand name or equal that meet the following requirements: provide cardiovascular endurance activity, strengthening, and range of motion for patients with a myriad of physical disabilities.
Exerciser must provide lower extremity stabilization to patients that have the inability to coordinate function of their legs due to physical and/or neurological pathologies. Performance required. Multiple levels of resistance for exercise progression Digital screen to show time, resistance, and distance for data reference. Lower Extremity stabilization package to assist with correct ergonomics for leg movement.
Essential physical characteristics; Dimensions (if applicable) Swivel seat for safe transfers Adjustable hand grips for Upper Extremity involvement Low Step Through Design- to prevent patient tripping or falling during mount and dismount. Minimum of 10 Levels of Resistance Workout programs Minimum of 22 Wide Seat Minimum of 600 lbs weight capacity 360 degree swivel chair Adjustable arm and seat positions Machine Dimensions: Maximum of 75 inches long and a max of 30inches wide. Must accommodate User/Patient Requirements: Height from 4 6 6 7 Weight from 75 lbs 600 lbs All respondents shall indicate/provide the following:

Failure to provide the above information may result in the potential offeror being considered incapable of meeting the VA s needs. If the contractor can provide the above items, the contractor shall provide a letter from the manufacturer stating they are an authorized distributor/licenser of their products. Failure to submit an authorized distributor letter shall result in the product(s) potentially offered to be considered grey market and shall not be considered technically acceptable.
The capability statements received from this market research are for planning purposes only and will assist the Government in planning its acquisition strategy. This is strictly market research, and the Government will not entertain questions concerning this market research. The Government will not assume any costs incurred by the contractor in the preparation of responses.
