This intent to sole source announcement is posted in accordance with FAR 5.2- Synopsis of Proposed Contract Actions.
Background: The purpose of this requirement is to provide the Office of Emergency Management at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center with the repair and paint of a DUV (Dual Use Vehicle).
Objective: Contractor shall provide service repair for the DUV for the Office of Emergency Management for the Martinsburg VA Medical Center in accordance with the attached Statement of Work (SOW) (See attached copy of SOW)
Unique Qualifications: Emergency Vehicle Specialist is a company within a feasible distance who has the capabilities to meet the objectives of this contract due to the size of DUV. Additionally, they have the specialized equipment such as an Aluminum bending break and an operator for the fabrication of the wheelchair lift door / compartment doors, and a paint booth large enough to accommodate the 36 long by 13 6 height DUV.
Currently, the DUV is expected to be utilized in May 2025 National Golden Age Games in Memphis, Tennessee and is still required to be outfitted with a graphics wrap by the end of March/first of April to accommodate the event. It is important to note that there is a 2-week minimum installation time for the DUV graphics wrap Award Information: Solicitation No. 36C24525Q0393 will be presented to the contractor in accordance with the sole source authority at FAR 6.302-1 as a firm fixed-price contract. The period of performance shall be for one base year. The anticipated Period of Performance reads as follows:
