Suicide Prevention Workshop

Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Network Contracting Office 5 intends to conduct a sole source acquisition for the provision of a suicide prevention workshop from the National Academy of Sciences (SAM UEI: PKFJZHG2MLG9). The objectives of the workshop include a scientific review of the large-scale grant program and its effect on impacting Veteran suicide.

Under the contemplated one-year contract, the National Academy of Sciences will conduct a professional education workshop to address guidance on the most effective way to conduct a review of the large-scale grant programs being utilized by VHA and the impact on Veteran suicides to report to Congress. National Academy of Sciences will bring together leading experts and interested parties to examine similar programs and go over processes for reviewing large-scale grant programs.

The workshop and all associated activities will be conducted entirely in a virtual forum. This notice of intent to conduct a sole source acquisition is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of performing the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
