INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO4) intends to sole source a contract for a Canon Celestion Full Source Kit for the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center. All work is to be completed in accordance with statement of work. This sole source contract will be solicited and negotiated with Sirona Complete Care, LLC, 3006 W Middletown RD, Columbiana, OH 44408 under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 Single Source Justification. See attached Draft Statement of Work (SOW).
The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 339112. The Small Business Administration (SBA) size standard is 1,000 Employees.
Interested vendors that can meet this requirement, shall identify their interest and capability, and respond to this notice by 06/18/2025 by 4:00 PM EST. Interested vendors must send a capability statement, no more than one page in length; to include Company Name, ueiSAM Number, Socioeconomic Category, brief description of your business entities capability to handle this project at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center. This Special Notice of Intent to Sole Source is for planning purposes only.
No solicitation will be made available. This is not a request for quotations. All information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be sent via email to the Contracting Specialist at christa.stine@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon the responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government.
If no responses are received, Contracting will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Sirona Complete Care, LLC. DRAFT Statement of Need Pittsburgh VA Medical Center STATEMENT OF WORK FOR PET/CT QUALITY CONTROL RADIOACTIVE SOURCES Scope of Work: The purpose is to provide delivery of radioactive material(s) in the form of radioactive quality control sources to the Pittsburgh Veterans Affairs Medical Center, University Drive C, Pittsburgh Pa., 15240. Delivery shall be made to the PET/CT section of Nuclear Medicine at room BW-222.
Product is used as an Imaging quality control source for daily, weekly, and monthly required quality control procedures. This product applies only to the Canon Celestion PET/CT scanner and must be utilized prior to daily patient scanning on the unit. This delivery will consist of three radioactive sources which are to be used as daily quality control sources. These sources are not for patient use but are for machine testing on a daily basis prior to any patient scanning.
These three sources are defined as a kit for QC testing. These sources may be shipped separately however they are purchased as and considered to be one single purchase. RADIOACTIVE SOURCES DELIVERABLES DELIVERY All radioactive sources shall be delivered in properly shielded containers where exposure limits dictate the use of lead shielding, appropriate lead shielding will be applied. Delivery shall be made to VAPHS room BW-222. unless prior authorization arrangements have been made.
Radioactive quality control sources for the PET/CT section of Nuclear Medicine to be furnished by the contract include the following items.
