STATEMENT OF NEED Lebanon VA Medical Center Title of Project: Aurical FreeFit Probe Microphone Measurement (PMM)
Devices and Accessories Scope of Need: The vendor shall provide all resources necessary to accomplish the deliverables described in this Statement of Need (SON), except as may otherwise be specified. The contractor shall provide and install two (2) Aurical FreeFit Probe Microphone Measurement devices and accessories.
Background: The Lebanon VAMC is expanding Audiological services to our York VA Community Clinic due to increased demand. This expansion will limit the need for Veterans to travel to the main hospital to receive Audiology services. The two (2) Aurical FreeFit PMM devices and accessories will be installed at the York VA Community Clinic location. Aurical FreeFit Real Ear technology is a PC-controlled audiometer for verifying hearing aid settings in the ear by using Probe Microphone Measurements (PMM).
The Real Ear technology, which is connected to a PC via USB, is operated from the OTOsuite Audiometry Module PC software. With Real Ear you can screen hearing levels as well if the environment is quiet. The intuitive graphical user interface and the user test feature enables carrying out tests with very little effort.
Performance Period: Delivery/Installation shall occur no later than July 7, 2025, unless otherwise instructed.
Type of Contract: Firm Fixed Price, Brand Name or Equal to General Requirement: The York VA Community Clinic has a brand name or equal requirement for Aurical FreeFit Probe Microphone Measurement devices and accessories. Connection to other devices is easily achieved through the built-in USB Hub and Aurical Aud provides the necessary connections to carry out counseling using the OTOsuite Counseling and Simulations module.
The York VA Community Clinic will be utilizing the Lebanon VA Medical Center s existing software (OTOsuite) which is not compatible with other devices on the market, and the current software is not in need of replacement, therefore requiring the purchase of the Real Ear technology for seamless installation, connectivity, and functionality with the current software. This procurement is for new Natus Medical Incorporated, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) items only.
No gray market items shall be provided. Â The York VA Community Clinic requires two (2) Aurical FreeFit Probe Microphone Measurement devices and accessories that meet the salient characteristics listed below. Aurical FreeFit Probe Microphone Measurement Devices and Accessories Qty. Required 1081 PMM CS W/O HI-PRO US ONLY. Part #8-04-14547 2 REM Tube, Blue Handle (50 pcs.). Part # 8-62-61200 2 Â Delivery/Installation: Delivery and installation kick-off discussion shall be coordinated with the POC and VACC Manager within 15 days of contract award. Materials and equipment should not be delivered until the time of installation, as there is no storage space available at the site. Installation must be during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8a-4:30p unless otherwise agreed.
Federal holidays include New Year s Day; Martin Luther King Day; President s Day; Memorial Day; Juneteenth; Independence Day; Labor Day; Columbus Day; Veterans Day; Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Delivery shall be coordinated at least 72 hours prior to required delivery date with the POC and VACC Manager.
