NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 4 (NCO4), intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed-Price Contract to The Staywell Co, LLC. for the provision of Krames On-Demand Database Services for the VA Coatesville (VACHS). This contract action is for services for which the Government intends to negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.5. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability in response to this notice.

The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is 518210 with a small business size standard of $40.0 million. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTATIONS. Responsible sources may identify their interest by submitting capability information by 3:00 P.M., EST, on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2024, in order to establish the ability of the source to meet this requirement.

A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not be responsible for any costs associated with the preparation of responses to this notification. Statement of Work Krames on Demand Fiscal Year 2025 Krames on Demand is a clinician facing print-on-demand patient education system and has been used by clinicians at the Coatesville VA Medical Center since 2015. There are two ways to access materials in the database: Key Work Search or Browse feature of all health topics. The content of the health sheets is written from 5th to 8th grade reading level.

Currently, there are 4,400 single-topic HealthSheets available on numerous health topics. More than 2,200 of the sheets are available in English and Spanish with some sheets available in other languages. There are also colorful illustrations to enhance the presentation of the health topic. Clinicians can personalize the HealthSheets to suit individual patients with instructions relating to the health topic.

The HealthSheets can be sent to patients during a virtual visit or printed out during an in-person visit with their health care provider. Krames on Demand is linked to the Computerized Patient Record System (CPRS) used to document progress notes, and consults. Krames on Demand is linked to CPRS for ease of access for the clinician to find patient education materials, print out, give to patient, and to easily note this education in their progress notes in CPRS.
