Intent to Sole Source - Radium Ra223 (Xofigo) VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System

INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE In accordance with FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source and No other Supplies or Services will satisfy agency requirement. VA Pittsburgh Healthcare Systems intends to negotiate a Sole Source Award with Cardinal Health. They are located at 7000 Cardinal Pl, Dublin, OH 43017. Cardinal Health shall provide delivery of radioactive material(s) in the form of radiopharmaceuticals (radio-isotopes).

Cardinal Health is the sole distributors of XOFIGO (radium Ra 223 dichloride) injection, therefore another firm would not be familiar with the rationale of the design or accurately provide supply of the product, which is critical for proper patient care, as well as a sound end product. The personnel assigned by the contractor to perform the services covered by this contract shall be licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.

The delivery of items shall be delivered to VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System, Section of Nuclear Medicine; Room 1W-159, University Drive Campus, University Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15215-1802. The NAICS code for this procurement is 325412. The size standard is 1250 employees. Interested parties that can meet the capabilities and requirements, may identify their interest and submit quotations. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations.

Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements, must submit information about their capabilities no later than 10:00 am EST, 02/01/2024. All information shall be provided at no cost, or obligation to the Government. No solicitation will be made available. Information must be sent to the Contract Officer, cynthia.grygier@va.gov.

Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely at the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the Contracting Department will proceed with the sole source negotiation with Cardinal Health.
