Intent to Sole Source Philadelphia Lab Advanced Microbiology Medical Technologist

Notice of Intent to Sole Source The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 04 (NCO4), intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with EGA ASSOCIATES LLC, 602 CLAY AVE, STE 200, JEANNETTE PA 15644, in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b), and VAAR 819.7008, Sole Source Awards to Verified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses.

Corporal Michael J. Crescenz VAMC (CMCVAMC) has an immediate need for an advanced microbiology technologist (1 FTEE) to assist the microbiology section with modernization and inspection preparedness.

Given the expedited timeframe in which the advance microbiology technologist services are required, the contracting officer intends to negotiate a short-term contract on a sole source basis with EGA Associates, LLC, a service-disabled Veteran-owned small business that has indicated capability to satisfy the requirement and that is currently providing temporary laboratory technologist staffing services to the lab section requiring the advanced microbiology technologist.

This short-term contract will include a performance period of six months. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.
