The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with The Binding Site, 6730 Mesa Ridge Rd. San Diego, CA 92121 for a serum protein analyzer s Free Kappa and Free Lambda Light Chain reagents as well as applicable ancillary items. 0021 Sample Cups 0.5ml The serum protein analyzer s Free Kappa and Free Lambda Light Chain reagents as well as applicable ancillary items are to be used with Optilite Protein Analyzer.

This protein analyzer system and associated reagents and consumables is for the performance of Serum and Urine Free Kappa and Free Lambda Light Chain Testing, to include reagent kits, calibrators, quality controls, diluents, wash solutions, sample cups, cuvettes, and any associated analyzer maintenance items as well as analyzer service and support.

The analyzer and testing methodology must perform both Serum and Urine Free Light Chain Assays, be capable of detecting antigen excess, be capable of automatically diluting specimens to end results, and meet the performance characteristics for accuracy and precision as defined by the 1988 Clinical Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA) and the Clinical Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) The reagents must be FDA approved for the diagnosis and monitoring of plasma cell dyscrasias.

The contractor will perform set up and validation of the analyzer and assist with establishing an interface connection with the VA laboratory information system (VistA). In addition, the contractor will provide hands on instruction to train two key operators in the use, maintenance and routine troubleshooting of the proposed analyzer.

Other persons may identify their interest by responding to this requirement by Tuesday, August 5th, 2025 at 10 am EST. Such capabilities information will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis.  All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
