The NAICS code is 237120 with a small business size standard of $49.0M. The VA intends to solicit and negotiate with John W Danforth Company large business) for construction. This contract will be a Firm Fixed Price sole source. The Bath VAMC has an Emergency Repair Natural Gas Pipping across the bridge project # 528A6-25-616. The purpose of this emergency procurement is to repair the existing 6-inch natural gas main pipeline entering the VAMC campus across the main bridge to Veterans Avenue.

This pipeline supplies natural gas to the Bath VAMC boiler house at building B31. Recently, a natural gas odor was detected near the crossing toward Veterans Avenue. An onsite investigation conducted by the engineering team and the Bath VA Fire Department determined that there are minor leaks, described as small "pinhole" leaks, at two locations along the 6-inch pipeline crossing the bridge.

While the leaks are considered minor, their location on the bridge raises safety concerns and necessitates prompt remediation. This situation has established the need for a new project to address and repair the pipeline.
