The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2, Regional Procurement Office - East, on behalf of James J Peters VA Medical Center located at 130 W Kingsbridge Rd, Bronx, NY 10468 intends to award a Firm-Fixed-Price sole source award to Image Guided Therapy, 4 Allee Du Doyen Georges Brus, Pessac, 33600, France for the purchase of one Tabletop Small Animal Focused Ultrasound System for Neuro Applications.

This notice of intent is neither a solicitation for proposals/quotes nor an invitation for bids. Furthermore, it does not represent a commitment by the Government to pay for costs incurred in preparation and submission of data or any other costs incurred in response to this notice.

A competitive solicitation will not be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may provide written notification to the Contract Specialist at Paul.Speedling@va.gov no later than April 17, 2024 at 15:00 EST Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements described above.

A determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Description The benchtop small animal system is optimized for HIFU in rodents and in particular for neurological applications of Ultrasounds like reversible opening of the Blood Brain Barrier (BBB). It is designed to be easily used on a standard bench. The system consist of:

one signal generator and a power amplifier to drive the ultrasound transducer, one 3D positioning system to accurately control the positioning of the transducer, one animal bed with an head frame and an anesthesia cone for easy animal installation, one online water circulation and degassing system to ensure proper acoustic path to the target, one digital acquisition system for measuring acoustical signal from the PCD, one single element transducer with a confocal broadband PCD, one laptop PC with the controlling software.
