Card Slitter

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) intends to negotiate a non-competitive, firm-fixed price purchase order (sole-source) with BahFed, Corp to procure equipment for digital print finishing to produce up to 500,000 postcards annually. The cutter/slitter should have the ability to process cardstock in weights from 120-350 gsm.

The equipment should accommodate cardstock sheets up to 12” W x 18” L in size, with the finished product size variable according to customer request and producible on larger cardstock in configurations of 4-up, 6-up, 8-up, or others according to project need. The machine should have a feed system to automatically accommodate a stack of heavy cardstock. The purchase should include training of HITC personnel in using the equipment upon delivery.

The vendor shall provide annual service and maintenance on the machine, which should consist of (but not limited to) repairs for mechanical issues to keep all equipment in good working condition throughout the period covered by a Full Service (base plus 4 option periods) maintenance program.
