FA870513C0005 CPT Production Notice Of Contract Action

Purpose: The Government is providing notice to industry that it intends on extending the PoP for the FAB-T Production Contract from 24 September 2024 to 31 December 2025 for a subset of Cost Plus Fixed-Fee (CPFF) Contract Line-Item Numbers (CLINs).

Background: The Family of Beyond Line-of-Sight Terminal (FAB-T) is a highly complex AEHF (Advanced Extremely High Frequency) program that is the follow-on to the MILSTAR system and will provide near-worldwide, secure, survivable satellite communications to support strategic and tactical forces of the United States and its international partners during all levels of conflict.

AEHF satellites will provide over ten (10) times the capacity and six (6) times higher data rate transfer than that of the current MILSTAR II satellites. The contract, FA8705-13-C-0005, was competitively awarded on 25 September 2013 utilizing the approved Class Justification and Approval (J&A) for Other than Full and Open Competition for a limited competition between The Boeing Company and Raytheon and is currently a sole source acquisition.

Requirement Details: A subset of fifteen (15) CPFF CLINs will be extended. The extensions are due to contractor delays in terminal and hardware deliveries, site infrastructure delays, and operational site constraints due to real-world missions. As no additional work or materials are being introduced and this is a no cost extension, this extension is deemed within scope of the FAB-T Production Contract and associated J&A. Primary location will continue to be Marlboro, MA.
